Okay, it’s been super cold in Dallas lately! If you follow me on Instagram (if you don’t, I’d love for you to join!) you may have seen my posts about the cold temperatures! It was 11 degrees one morning when I was heading to work last week. Let me tell ya, my pajamas and a fire sounded a lot better than being out in the cold!
Anyone who is familiar with Texas weather knows that it constantly changes. You can experience all 4 seasons in one week. Temps have been freezing (below freezing, actually) this past week, but this weekend was a lot warmer! In fact, this week the highs this week have been in the 60s; talk about a big difference!
Anyway, the cold has had me dreaming about spring! Each time a new season approaches I get super excited, and then after awhile I am ready for the next one. When dreaming about spring I realized I never shared this outfit that I shot last season! What better time to share than now?!
I absolutely love wearing white jeans and can’t wait until that season rolls around again! White jeans with a pop of color is one of my favorite looks. There’s just something about the sunshine, warm temperatures and bright colors that make me happy during spring and summer.
I’m not sure if you noticed the words on the window in one of my pictures, but it says “Be your own kind of beautiful.” I. Love. This. I love this for so many reasons. I think it’s easy for us to sit here and compare ourselves to others. For me, I notice trends in the blogging world. I admire other bloggers and look to some for inspiration. Have you ever heard that comparison is the thief of joy? I think this is true. And even though I look at other bloggers for inspiration, I constantly have to remind myself not to compare my blog to theirs. Everyone is unique. Everyone has their own story. Everyone has an opportunity to be their own kind of beautiful, and everyone should pursue that opportunity.
So, here’s a short and simple post from a girl who is documenting her life one page at a time. Thanks for stopping by!
